SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2018

It is important to meet SSC Steno eligibility criteria in order to fill the application form. Candidates should meet conditions such as Educational Qualification, Age Limit etc. The commission will not accept SSC Stenographer Application Form 2018 of a non-eligible candidate. SSC Steno Eligibility Criteria 2018: Nationality

Candidates should possess the Nationality of the country as per SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2018. Candidates belonging to some other nation are not eligible to apply. In order to check the details read below.

  • A candidate should be the citizen of India or

  • Should be the citizen of Bhutan provided that eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India or

  • Citizen of Nepal provided that eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India or

  • A candidate who is Tibetan refugee and came to India before 1st January 1962 and is permanently settled in India provided that eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India or

  • An Indian origin candidate migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam provided that eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India.

SSC Stenographer Educational Qualification 2018

  • Should have passed Class 12th or Equivalent from a recognized board.

SSC Stenographer Age Limit 2018

Candidates should fulfill SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria so that they can participate in the selection process. There is a provision of age relaxation for candidates of reserved category, special category, and others. Read the details of the age limit of SSC Stenographer from below.

  • Age Limit – 18 to 27 Years
  • OBC – 3 Years
  • SC/ST – 5 years
  • Physically Handicapped – 10 Years
  • OBC + Physically Handicapped – 13 years
  •  SC/ST + Physically Handicapped – 15 years
  • UR/General (Ex-Servicemen) – 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the Closing date for receipt of application.
  • OBC (Ex-Servicemen) – 06 years(3 years + 3 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the Closing date for receipt of application.
  • SC/ST (Ex-Servicemen) – 08 years(3 years + 5 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the Closing date for receipt of application.
  • (General/Unreserved) Central Govt. Civilian Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as onclosing date for receipt of application – 5 years
  • (OBC) Central Govt. Civilian Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as onclosing date for receipt of application – 8 years (5 +3).
  • (SC/ST) Central Govt. Civilian Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as onclosing date for receipt of application –
    10(5+5) years.
  • Candidates who had been domilciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 (General/Unreserved) – 5 Years.
  • Candidates who had been domilciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 (OBC) – 8 Years.
  • Candidates who had been domilciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 (SC/ST) – 10 Years.
  • General/Unreserved Defence Personnel disabled in operation  – 5 years
  • OBC Defence Personnel disabled in operation – 8(5+3) years
  • SC/ST Defence Personnel disabled in operation – 10(5+5)years
