SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates who are waiting for SSC Jr. Engineer 2019 must satisfy the eligibility criteria in the first place. The conditions such as Educational Qualification, Age Limit etc. should meet by a candidate. Candidates do not meet SSC JE eligibility criteria should not apply. Read SSC JE notification completely to get the details. The interested candidates can read SSC JE 2019 eligibility criteria from below.

Nationality:

  • A candidate must be either:
    (a) a citizen of India, or
    (b) a subject of Nepal, or
    (c) a subject of Bhutan, or
    (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention
    of permanently settling in India, or
    (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East
    African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly
    Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention
    of permanently setting in India.
  • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a
    person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of
    India.
  • A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to
    the examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary
    eligibility certificate has been issued to him/ her by the Government of India.

Age Limit:

Staff Selection Commission states different criteria for all the reserved category candidate. The maximum age should be 32 years as on 1st August 2019. Age Limit for various posts under SSC JE is given below for General Category. The candidates can check the Age Relaxation Rules after the given table.

Educational Qualification:

The candidate applying for the posts of Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer should have completed B.E./B.Tech. or Diploma in relevant field. Check the table below to find Educational Qualification required for specific posts. For the posts where equivalent Degree/ Diploma are specified in the Educational Qualifications, the candidate possessing such equivalent Degree/ Diploma Certificate shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificate from the concerned authorities.

The posts where experience is required, such experience must be acquired by the candidates after completing a minimum educational qualification as specified for the concerned post.

SSC JE Cut Off 2019

After the completion of examination SSC JE Cut Off will be released on ssc.nic.in. A candidate has to score marks either equal or more than cut off because it is mandatory to qualify for the exam. The concerned authority will decide SSC JE 2019 Cut Off marks & candidates will be shortlisted accordingly. The cut off marks vary from time to time, therefore, one should have a look at the previous year cut off marks.
