Eligibility Criteria For Indian Army Recruitment 2018

The applicants desiring to apply for the JCO/OR enrollment in Indian Army must satisfy the eligibility criteria given below.

The applicant should have passed Class 12th with 60% aggregate marks and 50% in each subject.

17 1/2 to 23 Years

The applicant should have studied Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping/English in class 10th or 12th and have scored min. 50% marks in each subject.

Soldier (Nursing Assistant; Army Medical Corps)

The applicant should have passed Class 12th in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% aggregate marks and 40% in each subject or

The applicant who has passed B.Sc. in Bio-Science/ Zoology/ Botany, class 12th percentage criteria is waived off for them but the applicant should have passed class 12th in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English.

Medical Standards

The applicant should have good Physique and good mental health.

The applicant chest should be well developed and having minimum 05 cm expansion.

The applicant binocular vision should be good and should have normal hearing with each ear. Colour vision of the applicant should be CP – III (able to recognize white, red and green signal colors correctly as shown by Martin’s Lantern at 1.5 meters) and should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye.

The applicant should not have diseases like varicocele, hydrocele, deformity of bones or piles.

The applicant should have sufficient number teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points and natural healthy gum.

Soldier General Duty for infantry should have 6/6 eye sight.

The applicant who meets the eligibility criteria can fill the Application Form. The application form shall be available in online mode on the website of Indian Army joinindianarmy.nic.in/index.htm. The applicant should check the website regularly for the updates. The steps to fill the application form are as follows:

  • Visit the aforementioned website and read the given instructions very carefully before proceeding to the next step.

  • The applicant should check the eligibility criteria for the available jobs and then Register.

  • If the applicant is a new user then first click on Registration Tab. In a new window, Registration table will open.

  • Fill up all the given fields in the Registration Form.

  • The applicant should fill the details like Name, DOB, Father Name & Educational Qualification as given in your matriculation Certificates.

  • The applicant has to provide unique Mobile Number and Email Id at the time of Registration. The applicant should not share registered Mobile Number and Email Id with any one.

  • Preview the details filled in all the given columns and click on the ‘save’ button.

  • After Registration, the applicant will receive OTP on registered Mobile Number and Email Id.

  • Once the applicant enter the OTP for successful registration, the profile of the applicant shall be created in the system.

  • Registration process is compulsory for all the applicants to apply online for various posts.

  • The User Name shall be applicant’s Email Id and the applicant has to create their own password (Not more than 10 Characters).

  • The applicant has to remember User Name and Password as it will be required every time for log in into their account.

Admit Card For Indian Army Recruitment 2018

The applicant who will fill the application form for the available entries shall have to download their admit card to appear in the test. The admit card will be released by Indian Army on its website joinindianarmy.nic.in/index.htm. The applicant has to visit the website to download their admit card for test. No applicant will receive admit card via post and email. The admit card is an important document for all the applicant for appearing in the test conducted by Indian Army. The procedure to download the admit card is given below.

  • Visit the above-mentioned website of Indian Army.

  • Find the link of ‘JCO/ OR Apply/Login’ on the home page and click on the link to open the login page.

  • At the login page, enter User Name, Password and Captcha. Click on ‘login’ button to open your profile.

  • Click on ‘Admit Card’ from the under the section ‘Dashboard’.

  • Click on the ‘Continue’ button to proceed to the next window.

  • The admit card will reflect on the screen in PDF format.

Important Points about Admit Card For Indian Army Recruitment 2018

There are some important points which if a candidate will keep in his/her mind then he/she will not face any kind of inconvenience on the day of examination. The applicant shall take care of the following things.

  • The Admit Card is an important document for every applicant to appear in the examination.

  • All the applicants should bring the admit card so that they can be allowed to participate in the test.

  • If any applicant fails to bring admit card to the examination centre then that applicant will not be allowed to appear in the test under any circumstances.

  • The applicant has to present the admit card when demanded by the invigilator at the examination centre.

  • The admit card is a non-transferable document therefore, the candidates are advised to not to share it with any other candidate.

  • The applicants should not make any changes in the entries made in the Admit Card.

Recruitment Procedure For Indian Army Recruitment 2018

In the screening test, candidates will have to appear in the Physical Fitess Test. Physical Fitness Test is compulsory for all the applicant which will be conducted to test the physical ability of the applicant. The following tests will be conducted under Physical Fitness Test.

  • Strength of the applicant will be tested in Pull Ups on Beam.

  • For courage – 9 feet Ditch.

  • For Endurance – 1.6 km running.

  • For Agility – Zig Zag Balance.

Rules for Extra Time for 1.6 Km Run in Hilly Terrain:

  • Between 5000 Ft to 9000 Ft – Add 30 Secs to all timings.

  • Between 9000 Ft to 12000 Ft – Add 120 Secs to all timings.

For 9 Feet Ditch: The applicant has to qualify this stage and no marks shall be provided for that.

For Balance: The applicant has to qualify this stage and no marks shall be provided for that.

Aptitude Test For Indian Army Recruitment 2018

The applicants being selected in the tradesmen category are suited for the job, will have to appear in the aptitude test at the screening stage itself. The aptitude test is conducted for candidates of traditional and artisan trades. The Screening Board will organise Tradesmen Aptitude Test at the rally site and applicants have to qualify the test so that they shall be allowed to appear in the Common Entrance Examination (CEE). The applicant who will be declared fail in aptitude test Soldier Tradesman category and are in Permanent Unfit (PUF) /Temporary Unfit (TUF) category, they will not be allowed to appear in the review medical exam and medical slip will not be given to such candidates. This will also be applicable for Soldier Tradesman (Musician) category.

Documents Required at the Rally Site For Indian Army Recruitment 2018

  • The applicant has to carry Educational Marksheet / Certificate issued by the Recognized Education Board.

  • Character Certificate issued by the Headmaster / Schools / Colleges Principal.

  • Religion Certificate issued by the authorised signatory of the State Government / SDM / Tehsildar.

  • Residential Certificate with photograph on it should be issued by the authorised signatory of the State Government / SDM / Tehsildar.

  • Caste Certificate with photograph on it should be signed by Village Sarpanch except in the case of Gujjar and Gorkha, SIKH (Mazbi and Ramdasia) candidates in which it is required to be signed by the authorised signatory of the State Government / SDM / Tehsildar.

  • Candidates belonging to Dogra Community shall have to produce certificate with photograph on it issued by Authorised Government Signatory / Tehsildar.

  • Character Certificate with photograph on it issued by the Municipal Corporation / Police / Village Sarpanch issued within last six months.

  • If an applicant has NCC A / B / C certificate it should be produced at the rally site. If an applicant is NCC certificate holder then required certificates and certificate of participation in Republic Day has to be produced for Dispension.

  • Relationship Certificate issued by concerned authority (Only for the Son of Widows / Serving Soldiers / War Widows and Ex-servicemen).

  • Unmarried Certificate with photograph on it issued by District Administration / Village Sarpanch issued within last six months (If the age of applicant is below 21 years).

  • Latest photograph of the applicant with both ears clearly visible and for SIKH candidates photograph must be either in Turban or without Turban.

  • The applicant having O+ Level Computer Certificate ‘Business Professional Programmer’ issued by the DOEACC Society.

  • The applicant applicable for Kandi area certificate issued by Tehsildar / Authorised Government Signatory.

  • Sports Certificate to be produced if represented in the following

    • Represented University Team or Regional Team at District Level.
    • Represented District at National Level.
    • Represented State at National Level.
    • Represented India at International level.
