CET 2019 (Common Eligibility Test): CET Bank, SSC & Railway Exams – CET Details

CET 2019: A new proposal has been introduced by the Government on 14th March 2018 in Rajya Sabha to conduct Common Eligibility Test 2019 for the CET 2019 SSC, Bank, Railway and other exams. The CET Exam 2019 will be conducted for the posts of the Group-B Level and below. The purpose to introduce the CET is to bring transparency in the recruitment process of Government Jobs. Most likely the CET 2019 will be conducted for CET SSC, CET Bank, CET Railway and other exams from 2019 onwards. But as of now, we are not sure that it will be implemented this year. The reason is the notification of Railway, SSC are still releasing on thier website and they will conduct the examination separately.

Eligibility Criteria For CET 2019

Candidates who will apply for Common Eligibility Test 2019 should read the released notification very carefully to avoid any kind of mistakes at the time of filling of application form. It is compulsory for all the candidates to meet the eligibility conditions. Candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria are not required to apply for the available post otherwise the application of such candidates will not be accepted. The eligibility criteria in a detailed manner will be announced in the official CET 2019 notification. However, general conditions to apply for CET are given below.

  • Candidates should be a citizen of India.

  • Candidates should possess the required educational qualification from a recognized Institute/University.

  • Candidates age should be in between the prescribed age limit. However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall be eligible for the age relaxation as per the Government Rules.

Application Form For CET – Common Eligibility Test 2019

CET (Common Entrance Test) will come into effect tentatively from 2019 onward. The application form will be released in online mode for the eligible candidates to apply for CET 2019. Candidates have to fill the CET application form 2019 for appearing in the entrance examination. Candidates should read the given instruction in the advertisement before filling the application form to get the clear idea about the required details and other things. The details in the CET application form will be filled with utmost care because CET admit card 2019 will carry the same info. The procedure to fill CET application form is as follows:

  • Visit the UPTET portal for registration.

  • Read the given ‘Instructions’ very carefully and then click on the ‘Continue’ button.

  • Fill applicant Name same as recorded in the High School Certificate/Mark sheet.

  • Fill the Parent’s/Guardian’s Names recorded in the High School Certificate/Mark sheet.

  • Fill the Date of Birth in the DDMMYYYY format same as recorded in the High School Certificate/Mark sheet.

  • Fill the address for the correspondence with the PIN code.

  • Fill out the name of the test center as per your convenience.

  • Fill your Caste Category (GEN/SC/ST/OBC).

  • Fill your special category CAP/SP/PH/NCC (if any).

  • Fill in the Aadhar Card Number.

  • Upload the Photo and Signature in the required format and required size.

  • Before submitting the Application Form read all the filled in details.

  • Then click on the ‘Submit’ button for the submission of the Application Form.

  • Make the payment of the Application Fee by using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

  • After successful registration, candidates will receive Unique User Id which will be used for further communications.

Admit Card For CET 2019

The officials will release CET (Common Entrance Test) 2019 Admit Card for all those candidates who will submit the application form. Candidates will be able to download the CET admit card 2019 in online mode by using Registration Number and Password. Candidates whose application form will be submitted with incorrect/incomplete, the admit card for such candidates will not be generated. CET admit card will be an important document for all candidates to appear in the examination. Candidates can download the admit card by following the steps given below:

  • Visit the CET website (will be updated later)
  • Go to the ‘Admit Card’ section.
  • Enter the Application Number and other details (if any).
  • The Admit Card/Hall Ticket will reflect on the screen in PDF format.
  • Check the information given on the CET Admit Card/Hall Ticket.
  • Take the printout of the Admit Card/Hall Ticket and preserve it for further use.

The applicants should check all the details on the Common Eligibility Test 2019 Admit Card carefully. The applicants will find the following details in the Admit Card/Hall Ticket.

  • Name of the Applicant.
  • Parent’s/Guardian’s Name of Applicant.
  • Date of Birth of the Applicant.
  • Photo & Signature of the Applicant.
  • Caste category of the applicant.
  • Special Category of the applicant.
  • Date of the Examination.
  • Test Venue of the CET.
  • Time to report at the examination center.
  • Other guidelines which are to follow in the examination.

Answer Key For CET SSC, Bank & Railway Exams 2019

The officials will release the CET Answer Key after the commencement of all phases of the examination. Candidates who will appear in the examination will get an idea of the estimate score and rank secured with the help of Answer Key. The Answer Key will carry the correct response to all the questions which shall be asked in the examination. Candidates have to remember his/her response to compare it with the Answer Key.

Steps to download the CET Answer Key

The applicant can download the Answer Key of CET Answer Key 2019 in the following ways:

  • Visit the website (will be updated later).

  • Find the link to download the CET Answer Key.

  • Select the Phase of the Exam, Paper Code etc. to download the Answer Key.

  • Click on the ‘Download’.

  • The Answer Key shall be downloaded in PDF format.

  • Now compare the marked response with the Answer Key.

  • Candidates should follow the official marking scheme to count the total marks.

Cut Off Marks For CET 2019

CET cut off marks will be decided by the officials after the analysis of all the answer sheet of the candidates appeared in the examination. Candidates have to score marks either equal to the cut off marks or more to qualify the examination. CET cutoff marks will be decided on the basis of the number of candidates appeared in the examination and marks scored by them. Candidates who will clear the CET 2019 cut off marks shall be awarded Common Eligibility Test 2019 scorecard. The scorecard will not be awarded to such candidates who will fail to score marks equal to the CET cut off or more.

Score Card For CET 2019

Candidates who will qualify the examination shall be awarded CET Score Card. CET 2019 Score Card is an important document for all the candidates to appear in the second phase of the examination. Candidates who will not pass the first phase of the examination shall not be awarded CET scorecard. CET score card will be valid for 2 years. Candidates having CET scorecard will not have to apply for the same recruitment exam in the second consecutive year. He/She will take the Main Examination only whereas a candidate without CET score will have to appear in the first phase of examination to obtain CET Score Card.

Result For CET 2019

CET result will be announced by the officials after the completion of the examination. Candidates who will take part in the examination shall be able to download their CET (Common Entrance Test) result. The date of declaration of CET result will be released in the official notification. Candidates are advised to read the CET advertisement with full attention so that they cannot miss any important information related to CET 2019. CET result will be released in online mode only. CET result 2019 will not be shared with any candidate either on his/her email if or via post. The CET result will carry the marks scored and the rank obtained by the applicant in the examination.

Main Points about the Common Entrance Test (CET)

  1. CET will be conducted for three levels
  • Matriculation Level
  • Higher Secondary (12th) Level
  • Graduate Level
  1. There will be Two Tiers in CET
  • Tier-I: The Tier-I will be a common exam for all the government jobs such as SSC, Bank, Railway etc.
  • Tier-II: The Tier-II will be conducted by the concerned recruiting bodies. The applicant who will clear the cut off of a particular exam in Tier-I will be eligible for Tier-II of that exam.
  1. To appear in the CET, the applicant has to register himself/herself on the National Career Services (NCS) portal. After the registration, the applicant will receive a Unique user Id.
  2. The CET will be conducted for the Exams which are conducted only in two languages i.e. English and Hindi.
  3. The Score Card of the CET will be valid for 2 years. Now, the applicant will not appear in the Pre Examination of SSC, Bank etc. consecutively in the second year.
  4. The SSC 2018 exam will be held as per the calendar. The changes will come into effect from the year 2019.
  5. The Applicant has to fill only one Application Form to appear in the Pre-Examination of the Government jobs rather than filling separate form for each exam.

    1. If a candidate will not qualify CET then he/she can apply for the other recruitment exams. Such candidate can again appear in CET in the consecutive year.

  6. Sir, what about CET syllabus(tier 1 and 2), will it affect the current syllabus, I’m preparing for SSC CGL.

    1. The syllabus may change because CET will be conducted for SSC, Bank, Railways and others. Chapters like Probability, Permutation and Combination etc. are not included in SSC syllabus but questions from these chapters are asked in Banking exams. So there are chances that CET will cover important topics of all exams.
